Introduction

Tutorial Group system has been established to facilitate better contact with the faculty for counseling, help and guidance in all sorts of matters whenever needed by the students. There are 70 tutorial groups functioning at present. In each group there are almost 30 students across the semesters. One of the faculty member is appointed as the tutor of the group.

Every group meets once a week for consecutive two class periods. Elections are held to elect the office bearers to function for a period of one academic year. Office bearers lead the group and organize different co-curricular activities under the supervision of the tutor. The activities are organized on self help basis aimed at the social grooming of the students. Best tutorial group shield is awarded every year to group showing best performance. At the end of the academic session, the certificates are awarded to the office bearers. Senior tutor appointed by the Vice Chancellor provides leadership to the whole system.

I would like to work together to create a unique culture where is cross cultural without boundaries. Through this office motto "Living, Learning, Giving", I hope you'd enjoy the unity and also the diversity that you'd learn from each other and contribute your talents and care to everyone who surrounds you.

Primillarly this office communicates the problems being faced by the students to the concerned quarter's and helps them in their amicable solutions. Objectives

The main objective of the Office of Senior Tutor is to provide an attractive environment at the campus for students’ co-curricular activities. Despite this the office is responsible:

  • To inculcate excellent moral values in the Students for their character building.
  • To Provide a Platform to explore, enlighten and polish the positive hidden capabilities of the students.
  • To offer Advisory Services to students for their career development.

This Office is headed by a Senior Tutor and many Tutors. Whereas this Office presents emblems to the Faculty (Tutors) to signify their unique status in the institute while Tutors arrange weekly meetings of students to discuss the academic and co-academic issues, clubs activities and

  • To organize the meetings of potential Groups /Clubs for co-curricular activities.
  • To arrange and participate in co-curricular competitions at University or National levels.
  • To correspond with national and international institutes for collaborative participation and arrangement of different student’s events.
  • To Coordinate with HEC, Secretariat (President, Governor & Chief Minister) being a focal person for youth convention as well as student dialogue programs and performing art.
  • To organize seminars/Lectures pertinent to students’ character and career building.
  • To execute private and public sectors as well as Federal & Punjab Public Commissions for student’s career development.
  • To assist other academic and co-academic societies for the arrangement of student programs.
