Introduction
Healthy body produce healthy mind and this is why the nations all over the world attach so much importance to physical culture and sports. Sports play a very positive and vital role in character building of youth, including the spirit of team work, discipline and mutual understanding amongst the players. Directorate of Sports is working hard for the promoting the sports and healthy activities at university level under the umbrella of Registrar. Following officers/officials are working in the directorate of sports.
As per direction and approval of the University Syndicate the University Sports Board has been constituted for the smooth running of sports activities at university. The tenure of the members of Sports Board is two years. The members of the University Sports Board are as under.

Sports Gymnasium
Education is meant for the purpose of training of mind and Physical Education for the body of a young man to live phgysicall fit and drink positively.
Above in mind , the Sports Gymnasium of PMAS-AAUR has completed and is ready for use to organize sports activites. The sports Gymnasium comprising of multipurpose hall provides indoor sports facilites along with equipped fitness centre . The etaails are as under:

Eligibility
Following shall be eligible for using the sports facilities at Sports Gymnasuim.
- Students of PMAS-Arid Agriculture University (boys and girls)
- Permanent Empoyees and their family members of PMAS-Arid Agriculture University
- Members of Sports Associations, Federations, Higher Education Commission etc.
Fee
- For individual games like Badminton and Table Tennis etc. the registration fee shall be Rs. 500/- per head and monthly fee Rs. 200/- per head will be charged from the members.
- Similary, for fitness Centre (GYM) the registration fee shall be Rs. 500/- per head (Non refundable).
- Monthly GYM charges wil be Rs 300/-.
- The members of GYM shall pay all their dues before 10th of each month. Failure to pay the monthly GYM charges may lead to the removal of such members from their membership.
Reservation Of Gymnasium
- Sports Gymnasium may be reserved by any Sport Association/ Federation, Educational Institutions and Sports Club on payment of Rs. 3000/- per day . They shall have to obtain permission from the Vice Chancellor, PMAS-AAUR for its use.
- In case of misconduct or any damages in the sports arena the allotee will be responsible and have to pay the price of the damae items.
- The charges for hiring the sports gymnasium will be deposited before the start of event.
- Lockers
32 Lockers are available. Interested members may apply for lockers in a separate application. Monthly fee for each locker is Rs.100/- (First come first serve basis).
Timing
Timing shall be observed for the use of sports Gymnasium as notified by the authority concerned.

Note: During Championshiop/Tournments the sports facilities shall remain suspended for individual players/members.

Rules & Regulations
- Directorate of Sports will only provide playing facilities to the members. All members shall use their own sports gears for games.
- The members inside the venues will luse proper kit / dress.
- Nobody shall be allowed to enter in the hall without jogger or PT shoes.
- A person found involved in damaging any kind of items in sports gymnasium premises, the damae will be charged from that person.
- The members shall be bound to abide by the rules and regulations of Sports Gynmasium. In case of misconduct, the membershiop shall be terminated and the case will also be forwarded to University Disciplinary Committee for further action.
- No guests of members shall be allowed to use the sports facilities of sports Gymnasium without prior permission of the Chairman or Secretary of University Sports Board.
- The administration will not be responsible for loss of valuables.
- Directorate of Sports will not be held responsible for any mishap during the use of its premises.
- Member will ensure timing for various facilities as announced by the Directorate of Sports from time to time.
- One or all the facilities will be closed on requirement of the Board at a short notice.
- Nobody is allowed to bring any type of firearm inside the Sports Gymnasium premises. The Membership shall stand canceled in case of violation.
- The administration has the rights of cancel the membership without assigning any reason.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited in the arena of the sports field.
