Directorate of Planning & Development

Director’s Message

Welcome to the Directorate of Planning & Development!

As the Director, I am immensely pleased to lead this dynamic team dedicated to excellence in Planning and Development within our institution. Alongside my committed team, we have set ambitious standards, aiming for the highest levels of excellence in this field. My experience in the field includes working as Chief in Planning & Development Board, Government of Punjab, and serving as a pioneer Director of the Sub-Campus Khushab of PMAS-AAUR.

I am proud to share that over the years, the Directorate has successfully secured and allocated more than 7100 million rupees from various funding and donor agencies. This significant influx of resources has been instrumental in propelling the university's development forward, elevating funding and developmental activities to unprecedented heights in our university's history.

Looking ahead, our relentless efforts at the Directorate of Planning & Development will continue to enhance the student experience. Our commitment to providing state-of-the-art infrastructure remains unwavering, and achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is our priority. Through our continued endeavors, we aim to create an environment that fosters growth, innovation, and excellence for all students and stakeholders.

Introduction & History

The Directorate of Planning and Development serves as the backbone of an organization, playing a vital role in its growth and development. PMAS-Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi, established in 1994, initially lacked a separate Planning & Development Directorate; instead, these responsibilities were housed within the Directorate of Research & Planning. Recognizing the university's need for dedicated attention to development and growth, a separate Directorate of Planning & Development was established in 2015 under the direct supervision and control of the Vice Chancellor. The graph below illustrates the funding received from various agencies for development over the years.
